Our Family Facilitator
Jess is our family facilitator for Blaenymaes and is available to any parents or families in need of support or advice. Give her a ring for a chat on 07584140848. Jess also runs a parenting group every Wednesday morning at the setting, see staff or give Jess a ring if you are interested.
Parent and Toddler
Our parent and toddler group runs every Tuesday from 1.15-3pm, it is suitable for all parents/carers with children under 2 years of age. Come along and make some new friends, learn more about Flying Start and meet the Butterflies team.
An opportunity for support and advice from a wide range of professionals.
Lots of fun activities planned, friendly welcome guaranteed!!
Speech and Language
Our Flying Start speech and language therapist Melissa and our deputy manager Nat continue to provide support to referred children every week.
Parents involved will be invited to attend and observe the sessions dates to be arranged.
Rugby Tots
Rugby tots are fun filled sessions encouraging rugby and ball skills supporting the children’s gross motor development. Morning children and staff will be taking part in this during sessions every Monday for six weeks. Who knows we may have a future George North among us!
Parent meetings
We will be holding parent meetings on Wednesday 25th June from 3-5pm. Appointment times will be allocated for each child closer to the date. We do hope to see you there to meet your child’s key worker and have a chat about how things are going. Emma and Nat will also be on hand to answer any questions and provide support.
‘Bug Busting’ Tuesday 17th June
Our resident Health Visitors will be on hand to offer advice and tools to help get rid of those pesky head lice! Stop by the garden gazebo to pick up some tips.
Summer Assembly
This will take place on Wednesday 9th July in the school hall together with nursery. There will be a morning and afternoon performance! More details to follow…
Sports day
This will take place on Friday 11th July with nursery on the main school field.
Morning and afternoon children are invited to attend and take part in the fun.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and there will be no afternoon session on this day.
Summer Trip
We are off to the lovely Pembrey Country park again this year with nursery on Tuesday 15th July! We always have such a lovely time and all Flying Start children are invited to join us.
Children must be accompanied by the parents and younger siblings are able to attend. There will be no Flying Start sessions for children who do not come to Pembrey.
More information on the trip will be available soon.
Fun with Welsh
Each Monday afternoon we will be welcoming mentor Iath to Butterflies.
Llinos will work with childcare staff to create exciting and fun Welsh sessions for the afternoon children, providing a lovely introduction into the Welsh language.
