Our Learning this Week
Nursery PM 20th June 2014
Language, Literacy & Communication
We have been making marks and patterns on the scrimbling table. We have been singing lots of rhymes…our favourite being Hickory, Dickory Dock. Sing it at home.

Mathematical Development
We have been feeding teddy with lots of yummy cakes on the computer this week. We have been recognising numbers and counting accurately to make teddy say “Yummy!”
|
Knowledge and Understanding of the World
We have enjoyed exploring and investigating the playdough this week. Some of the children have been making cupcakes and using lollipop sticks and feathers to decorate them. Great creativity! |
Personal and Social Development, Well Being and Cultural Diversity
We have focused on good tidying up and being helpful this week, which most children have responded well to. Dai Iawn!
|
Creative Development
We have been exploring paint on the easel, making splodges, shapes and trying to cover the whole page with paint! |
Physical Development
We danced to Busy Feet songs about the body and different ways it can move. |
Welsh Language Development
We have been using our Welsh board to practice the weather. Thankfully it has only been Mae hi’n heulog (sunny) all week. We have also been reminding the children to say diolch (thank you) at snack times. Try saying diolch with your child at home

Anything else!
Please remember to put suncream on your child before coming into nursery during the hot weather. You can also send them in with a sun hat for added protection. Don’t forget to let me know if you are coming in the school trip to Pembrey on Tuesday 15th July – £5 per adult, free for children. |
